In November 2021, Sean & Cathy had their first date at a restaurant in Hoboken named Zack's. On this date, Sean & Cathy felt an instant connection. They realized they had many mutual friends, experiences, and had even lived in the same building at the same time in Hoboken! Cathy's mom often refers to their many mutual connections as “6 degrees of Kevin Bacon”.

Once Sean & Cathy finished eating dinner, they realized neither of them were ready to go home. Cathy had mentioned to Sean that her favorite pub in Hoboken was Mulligans and Sean knew he had to take her there for a night cap. It was there that Sean taught Cathy his favorite drinking game: the Guinness challenge! Cathy thought it was fun, and after a few more dates, Cathy would soon beat Sean in every Guinness challenge.

After several more dates and time spent together, Sean & Cathy quickly fell in love. They knew they had each found the one! They continued to travel together, make memories together, explore Hoboken together, and make so many friends through each other.

On April 15th, 2023 Cathy thought she was going to brunch with Sean's sister, Kelly, but Sean had much bigger plans in store. Sean surprised Cathy with the proposal of her dreams surrounded by their families, followed by an engagement party of a lifetime with friends and more family at the most fitting place-Mulligans! Sean & Cathy cannot wait to marry each other in September & feel so grateful to have the opportunity to celebrate with their family and friends!
